  11 client.conf - client configuration file for cups
  12 <h2 class="title"><a name="DESCRIPTION">Description</a></h2>
  13 The <i>client.conf</i> file configures the CUPS client and is
  14 normally located in the <i>/etc/cups</i> or <i>~/.cups</i>
  15 directory. Each line in the file can be a configuration
  16 directive, a blank line, or a comment. Comment lines start with
  17 the # character.
  18 <h2 class="title"><a name="DIRECTIVES">Directives</a></h2>
  19 The following directives are understood by the client. Consult the
  20 on-line help for detailed descriptions:

  22 <dt>Encryption IfRequested
  23 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em"><dt>Encryption Never
  24 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em"><dt>Encryption Required
  25 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em"><br>
  26 Specifies the level of encryption that is required for a particular
  27 location.
  28 <dt>GSSServiceName name
  29 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em">Specifies the Kerberos service name that is used for authentication, typically
  30 "host", "http", or "ipp". CUPS adds the remote hostname
  31 ("name@server.example.com") for you. The default name is
  32 "http".
  33 <dt>ServerName hostname-or-ip-address[:port]
  34 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em"><dt>ServerName /domain/socket
  35 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em"><br>
  36 Specifies the address and optionally the port to use when connecting to the
  37 server. <b>Note: Not supported on OS X 10.7 or later.</b>
  38 <dt>ServerName hostname-or-ip-address[:port]/version=1.1
  39 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em"><br>
  40 Specifies the address and optionally the port to use when connecting to a
  41 server running CUPS 1.3.12 and earlier. <b>Note: Not supported on OS X 10.7 or
  42 later.</b>
  43 <dt>User name
  44 <dd style="margin-left: 5.0em"><br>
  45 Specifies the default user name to use for requests.
