To build a generic initramfs, you have to install the following software packages:
 * device-mapper
 * cryptsetup-luks
 * rpcbind nfs-utils 
 * lvm2
 * iscsi-initiator-utils
 * nbd
 * mdadm
 * net-tools iproute
