[CLEANUP] product branch update

today I've noticed that the stats page still displays v1.3 in the
"Updates" link, due to the PRODUCT_BRANCH value in version.h, then
it's maybe time to send you the result (notice that the patch updates
PRODUCT_BRANCH to "1.4").
