old version:
 # losetup /dev/loop0 /foo.img
 # losetup /dev/loop0 /bar.img; echo $?
 2

new version:
 # losetup /dev/loop0 /foo.img
 # losetup /dev/loop0 /bar.img; echo $?
 losetup: /dev/loop0: device is busy
 2
