tests: avoid false failure with xargs on AIX

* tests/misc/shred-remove.sh: AIX xargs defaults to using
'_' to indicate end of input, thus ignoring it.
Rather than specifying -E to avoid this behavior, simplify
by removing sed and xargs usage.
