+With Version 4.1, Shairport Sync can now optionally be built to support AirPlay 2 operation. It works with iOS, iPadOS, macOS, HomePod mini and Apple TV sources, but not with Windows.

+It is still possible to build Shairport Sync to support "classic" AirPlay (aka "AirPlay 1").

+There have been many many bug fixes and enhancements to the core operation of Shairport Sync.

+A list of the new features and important bug fixes will appear here shortly.
