From 40b3b41e08a1d8c9aee4dda4c2102b2906ae7e2a Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: davefuentes Date: Sat, 21 Nov 2015 02:31:52 -0300 Subject: [PATCH] Update accessibility.md Even though some of the tools indicated here are OK, in terms of screen readers, NVDA has gain a lot of market during last years. It is free (in comparison with Jaws and its 1k ish license), it is stable and works very good. It works with popular browsers like Firefox and IE. I also suggested another tool called WAVE. It is very popular since also provides contrast ratio checker. --- docs/pages/accessibility.md | 4 +++- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/docs/pages/accessibility.md b/docs/pages/accessibility.md index daa509b37..4ac3d5c50 100644 --- a/docs/pages/accessibility.md +++ b/docs/pages/accessibility.md @@ -69,5 +69,7 @@ If you're using the Sass version of Foundation, you can use this mixin to enable ### Tools - [Tenon accessibility checker](https://tenon.io/index.php) +- [WAVE Chrome plugin - free accessibility checker](http://wave.webaim.org) - [ChromeVox screen reader plugin for Chrome](Chromevox screnreader plugin for Chrome) -- [JAWS screen reader for Windows](http://www.freedomscientific.com/Products/Blindness/Jaws) \ No newline at end of file +- [JAWS screen reader for Windows](http://www.freedomscientific.com/Products/Blindness/Jaws) +- [NVDA screen reader for Windows - Free](http://www.nvaccess.org/download/) -- 2.47.2
